The People Behind Tutormint
Tutormint exists for one reason: too many capable students fall behind simply because nobody ever sat down with them, one-to-one, and taught to the way they learn.
Why Tutormint Exists
Tutormint was founded by a tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience — at home, in academies, and online — who kept meeting the same problem everywhere she taught. Too much of education runs as a business first: celebrating the already-bright students who make the results look good, and handing everyone else piles of notes, ready-made answers and cramming routines instead of real understanding. The students who most needed teaching were the ones the system was quietly designed around ignoring.
When she moved to the UK for her master's degree, she found a second gap. Families new to the British education system — including many in the South Asian community she came from — were trying to navigate key stages, GCSE exam boards, tiers and the 11+ with almost no honest guidance on how any of it works or what actually matters for their child.
Tutormint is her answer to both. One-to-one online lessons built around each individual child, not around covering a syllabus. Teaching for understanding, never cramming. And straight, honest guidance for every family — with a special understanding of those finding their feet in the UK system. It's why every student starts with a free demo class and an honest assessment: because the point is your child's best interest, not the sale.

Experienced Tutors, Matched to Your Child
We would rather have fewer tutors than lower our bar. Before any tutor teaches for Tutormint, they must demonstrate experience teaching their subject at the levels they'll tutor. We then match each student with a tutor by subject, level, exam board and personality — and if the match isn't right, we change it, free.
- Subject-assessed before joining
- Experienced at the exact levels they teach (KS3 to A-Level)
- Matched to your child — and re-matched free if it's not right
Safeguarding Comes First
All lessons take place through Google Meet and parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson, at any time, without notice. Tutors communicate through Tutormint — never privately with students — and parents receive updates after lessons so you always know what was covered. If you ever have a concern, contact us directly on WhatsApp and it will be handled the same day. Read our Safeguarding Policy.
How We Work
Honest assessments
The free demo ends with the truth about where your child stands — including when tutoring isn't what they need.
No lock-ins
No contracts, no minimum terms. Families stay because lessons work, not because they're tied in.
Parents in the loop
Updates after lessons: what was covered, what was set, what comes next. No mystery.
