Location matters far more for some exams than others. It decides almost everything about the 11+, very little about A-Level, and only the exam board at GCSE. Start with the one that applies.

Each guide covers the selective schools in that area, the test they use, the registration and exam timing, and how we prepare for it.
Two areas have a second guide below city level. London is big enough that the borough decides the answer, so there is online tutoring by London district, covering Borough, Walthamstow, Romford, Lewisham, Roehampton and the central postcodes. And Filton sits just over the Bristol boundary in South Gloucestershire, which puts it in a different council’s admissions process.
Why the 11+ Is the One Exam Where Your Postcode Decides Everything
There is no national 11+. Each area — sometimes each individual school — decides which test it sets, which subjects appear in it, and when registration closes. Two children preparing a hundred miles apart can face papers with almost nothing in common.
Birmingham runs a single GL Assessment test shared across its grammar schools. Gloucestershire runs one county-wide entrance test that several schools accept from a single sitting. Greater Manchester has the Trafford Consortium test alongside schools such as Loreto and St Ambrose that set their own papers. London is decided borough by borough — Sutton, Kingston, Bexley, Barnet and Redbridge do not share one system.
This is why generic 11+ preparation underperforms. A child drilled on the wrong question types, or registered after a deadline that closed months before the exam, is not short of ability. Each guide names the test, the schools that use it and the timing to work backwards from.

The six guides above exist because those areas have distinctive selective-entry systems worth explaining properly. They are not a list of where we teach. Lessons are one-to-one and online, so a family in Cambridge, Romford, Walthamstow or a village with no tutor within thirty miles gets exactly the same access as a family in central London.
For GCSE and A-Level this is straightforward — the qualification is national and only the exam board varies. For the 11+, tell us the target schools when you book and we will confirm which test they use before the first lesson, whether or not that area has a guide on this page.
