1. Subject and level
Primary Maths is different work from A-Level Physics. Tutors are matched on subject expertise and level familiarity, and pricing reflects that specificity.
The first lesson is free. Pricing is set after we understand your child's needs, not before.
Most tutoring services show you a price before they know anything about your child. We do not.
Before we discuss fees, we want to see your child in a session, understand where they are, what they need, and whether the tutor we have in mind is the right fit. Only then does pricing make sense.
That is why every new student starts with a free 30-minute demo class. No charge. No pressure. A real lesson with a qualified tutor.
If it works, we talk about regular sessions. If it does not, you have lost nothing.
After your child's free demo, we discuss a pricing structure based on four factors.
Primary Maths is different work from A-Level Physics. Tutors are matched on subject expertise and level familiarity, and pricing reflects that specificity.
GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, 11+, SAT, ACT, AP: each has its own structure, marking criteria, and preparation requirements. We account for that.
One session per week is appropriate for steady progress. Two or more is common when an exam is approaching. We recommend a frequency based on your child's timeline and goals.
Every tutor on Tutormint is vetted. Many are current or former classroom teachers. Some specialise in specific exam boards or high-pressure qualifications. Specialist tutors reflect that in their rates.
No group sessions. No shared attention. No pre-recorded content your child watches alone.
After your child's free demo class, we discuss a fee structure based on subject, level, exam board, tutor, and how frequently you want to run sessions. There is no hidden upsell. You will know exactly what you are agreeing to before any lessons begin.
Yes. Completely free. No card details required to book. No obligation to continue. It is a real 30-minute lesson, not a sales presentation. The tutor will assess your child's current level, work through material with them, and give you an honest read of where they are.
No long-term contracts. Sessions are typically arranged in blocks, usually four or eight at a time, which helps tutors plan effectively and gives your child continuity. But you are not locked in.
Yes. If the match is not right, personality, teaching style, pace, we will find a better fit. We take matching seriously from the start, but we would rather change the tutor than have your child disengage.
Sessions cancelled with reasonable notice can be rescheduled. We ask for the same consideration from families that we ask from tutors: reasonable notice on both sides.
Yes. Tutormint works with families in the UK, the United States, and across the Gulf: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. All lessons are online. Scheduling is agreed around your time zone.
A laptop, tablet, or desktop computer with a camera and internet connection. A tablet stylus or drawing pad is useful for Maths and Science. Your tutor will let you know if it applies to your child's sessions.
Your child's first session costs nothing. It is a real lesson with a qualified tutor, planned around your child's subject, level, and goals.
