A published starting rate per level, listed above. You pay per 1-hour lesson, for the lessons your child actually takes — there is no registration fee, no compulsory upfront block and no minimum term.
Every new student starts with a free 40-minute demo class before any money changes hands. It is a real lesson, not a sales call: the tutor assesses where your child is, teaches, and gives you an honest read afterwards — including when tutoring isn't what your child needs.
If it works, you book regular lessons at the rate confirmed for your child's level. If it does not, you have lost nothing.
One 1-hour lesson a week across a 12-week term, per subject. Market rates are typical UK private-tuition rates; qualified teachers usually sit at the upper end.

Four things worth knowing before you book, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
The starting rate is set by the level your child is working at, not the subject. GCSE Maths and GCSE English both start from £20. A-Level Physics and A-Level English both start from £25. You never pay a premium because a subject sounds harder.
AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, IGCSE, IB: your tutor teaches to your child's actual specification, with past papers and mark schemes from the board they will sit. There is no surcharge for a specific board.
One lesson a week suits steady progress. Two or more is common in the term before an exam. You pay per lesson, so doubling up before mocks and easing off afterwards costs exactly what you use.
