How Online Tutoring Works at Tutormint
From first enquiry to weekly lessons — here is exactly how online tutoring works at Tutormint, what you need, and what it asks of you as a parent (very little).
How Online Tutoring Works, Step by Step

Tell Us About Your Child
Fill in the short demo form or message us on WhatsApp with your child's year group, subject and what's been difficult. A recent test or school report helps but isn't required. We reply within 2 hours, 9am–9pm UK time, seven days a week, to arrange the demo.
Tutor Match and Plan
After the demo, we share honest feedback: strengths, gaps, and a recommended plan — lesson frequency and what the first month covers. If the demo tutor was the right fit, they continue; if not, we match a different tutor and the second demo is free too.
Weekly One-to-One Lessons
Lessons run at fixed weekly times that suit your family, with the same tutor each week. Each lesson works through topics on a shared screen or whiteboard, ends with short practice for the week, and builds directly on the last — no time lost re-explaining to a new face.
Parent Updates and Progress
After lessons you receive an update: topics covered, homework set, how your child is doing and what's next. Around school assessments and mocks, the tutor adjusts the plan to what the results show.
The Setup Is Simple
A laptop or tablet, a headset if you have one, and a quiet spot. Lessons run in the browser through Google Meet — there is nothing to install and nothing technical for you to manage. If anything doesn't work before a lesson, message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it live.
Start With the Free Demo
The whole process starts with one free class — and you'll know within the hour whether this is right for your child.
